Greetings

Having been a collector of these such recordings both audio and visual for many years I thought it about time to finally get around to cataloging them into some sort of order, with the hope that any like minded fellows out there who dabble themselves, would not only find this of some interest but perhaps might want to set up a trade or few!

I do not however sell or buy any items, trades only!!

If anyone wants to set up a trade or has any additional information regarding the posts on this Blog, then please contact deadeye63@hotmail.co.uk

and so we begin a run of audience recorded footage which as the years progressed and the advent of newer technology came to the fore, meant that many gigs saw the light of day through ths medium. The quality vastly improved over the years but this is as good a beginning as any, considering the passage of time that has elapsed.

filmed from the balcony, slightly off centre on jj’s side, there are times when it is hard to see both jj and hugh! not because of the quality of the footage, but for all the bodies on stage at various times during the gig!! dino and co certainly had there work cut out, but for much of the time the stage invaders were left alone!!

no zooming during this gig by the camerman, just a full stage on the screen at all times.

  1. This was recorded (I believe) by the Edinburgh Playhouse's own camera (situated to the rear of circle area (locked off)). If you stood in the foyer during a show you could watch the gig on a monitor. I heard that someone managed to get a video tape to someone who had access to the equipment and recorded the whole show. I got a copy of this about a week or so after the show (it circulated that fast!!). I was at the show the night before and this show (24th) was filmed by a French TV crew (a snippet appeared on the 'Rapido' TV show on BBC2 about 4 years later, the band singing 'Peaches'). I believe it was never broadcasted though.
